Gathering family and relatives to remember the deceased, the SUDARE Memorial Pavilion provides a space for quiet reflection, inspired by the warm texture and handling of light in Japanese tea rooms. By installing bamboo blinds on the walls and ceiling, it shields people from Taiwan's strong sunlight while allowing for a balance of privacy and natural light within the interior space. Furthermore, the simple wooden frame structure, processed through prefabrication, enables easy assembly and disassembly on-site, creating a portable mini house that can be installed in various locations worldwide. Wrapped in delicate and fragile bamboo blinds, time becomes eternal, strengthening family bonds as it bridges the past, present, and future.

The White Cloud Revere pavilion is a simple space that inspires reflection and contemplation. White, sand-blasted glass with Okalux insulating intra-layer provides for soothing natural light diffusion. Color layers are embedded in certain sections of the glass panels to provoke feelings of wonder and moments of relief while providing interesting perceptions of playfully filtered sunlight. Elegant hinoki wood altar and pews are the minimum elements required for the celebration of a family member’s life and accomplishments, which along with the perforated wood ceiling, provide a sense of warmth and peace. An amber glass flower stand functions as an elegant centerpiece that evokes feelings of grace and respect.

The Infinite Cloud emerges as a testament to the enduring legacy of those who have passed on, blending science with emotion in a remarkable architectural marvel. Comprised of intricate fractals, it encapsulates the boundless essence of infinity within a tangible form, echoing the perpetual cycles of life. The script can then be 3D printed in concrete with glass elements and polished and/or polished glued laser-cut glass plates, further adorned with glued glass balls integrated into the wall.

With the ability to modify the fractal pattern, growth trajectory, and size, it becomes a canvas for personal expression and remembrance. This translucent sanctuary provides a luminous haven where loved ones can be commemorated amidst natural light, shielded from the elements yet intimately connected to the surrounding environment. In the heart of the pavilion capable of growing and shrinking, memories intertwine with the ethereal, creating a space where the departed are not forgotten, but rather enshrined in the perpetual embrace of an infinite sky.

Through the element of water, a representation of nature, the concept of life and death facing each other is reinterpreted. The departed are visible but unreachable, akin to the concept of life as a circle, returning eventually to its starting point when the journey is complete.

By utilizing the refraction and reflection of glass and water, the atmosphere of the indoor space is expanded, coupled with projections of the activities of the departed. This setup allows the living and the departed to seemingly interact within the same space, yet maintaining a translucent boundary: the line between life and death.
